Recently one of my neighbors finished building his house. Unfortunately for him, he changed his mind about the doors he wanted to use after all the framing was done and sheetrock hung. This left him with door openings that no standard door would cover so he gave me a call.

We ended up with a simple pair of barn doors designed to cover the entire opening and built them in a left and right design so that they ‘pointed’ at each other. The doors are made from pine v-notch boards and the bracing is made from red oak. Then I finished the doors in a light colored stain to bring out the grain in the wood.
